Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect visitors’ and users’ information as part of the Service
Scope
This policy applies to the WebRun website and services. By using WebRun, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
What “personal information” means
“Personal information” means information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to an individual. It does not include aggregated or de‑identified data that cannot reasonably be used to identify a person.
Information we collect
We may collect the following types of information:
- Information you provide directly, such as when you submit the contact form
- Account and billing details if you purchase a paid plan (handled by payment processors)
- Usage data such as pages viewed, actions taken, and approximate location based on IP
- Device and browser information to help us understand performance and compatibility
- Cookie and similar technology data as described in the Cookie Policy
- Code content only when you choose to share a snippet or use AI explanations
How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide and maintain the service
- Respond to inquiries and support requests
- Monitor performance, detect issues, and improve features
- Understand product usage through analytics
- Process payments, prevent fraud, and manage billing
- Provide optional features such as shared snippets and AI explanations
Code, storage, and sharing
Your code runs in the browser by default. We do not receive your code unless you choose to share a snippet or use AI explanations.
If you share a snippet, we store it on our servers so we can provide a shareable link. Shared snippets are deleted after the expiration time you choose. If you add a password, your code is encrypted in the browser before it is uploaded.
AI explanations
When you use AI explanations, we process your code and send the necessary data to AI service providers to generate the explanation. These providers may process the data to deliver the feature, subject to their own privacy terms.
Sharing of information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers who help us operate WebRun (such as analytics, payment processing, AI providers, and infrastructure vendors), or when required by law.
Third‑party services
WebRun may integrate with multiple third‑party providers (for example, payment processors and AI services). Your use of those providers is subject to their terms and privacy policies in addition to this policy. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third‑party services.
Legal disclosures
We may disclose information to comply with law, legal process, or lawful requests; to protect the security of the service; or to prevent fraud, abuse, or misuse.
Data retention
We retain information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Shared snippets are retained until their expiration time. Payment and billing records may be retained for legal or accounting obligations.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children’s privacy
WebRun is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate steps.
Business transfers
If WebRun is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will continue to protect your information under this policy or a policy that provides equivalent protection.
Your choices
You can control cookies through your browser settings. You can also choose not to use sharing or AI features. If you have questions or requests about your data, contact us via the contact page.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on this page.
